Local 1258 is a local affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA), and formed out of the amalgamation of Local 101 in Winnipeg and Local 1157 in Gillam in 2000.

With 500 thousand members across Canada and the United States, LiUNA’s workforce is comprised of skilled, specialized and experienced workers in the construction and energy industry sectors, unified through collective bargaining agreements. These agreements help members earn family-supporting wages, good benefits and opportunities for industry advancement.

Local 1258 members are involved in industrial, institutional and commercial construction projects, as well as road building, masonry, hydro, and pipeline projects throughout Manitoba. We take pride in ensuring that all our members provide the highest quality of work on every job.
